Our Vineyard

Our vineyard is 5.25 hectares, with 8 varieties across roughly 25,000 vines. Originally planted in 1988, our vines have been producing excellent fruit for more than 30 years.

Our Wines

Our vineyard is made up of approximately 25,000 individual vines, grown on a “Modified Lyre Trellis” system. We grow 8 varieties across our small vineyard, including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gew├╝rztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

On average we produce between 40 and 50 tonnes of fruit each year. Our soil is mainly loam over clay. We irrigate from our 20 megalitre dam, fondly known as “Lake Roderick.”

Most of our vineyard work is done by hand – picking, pruning, leaf plucking, wire lifting.

Currently, our wines are made off-site. In the future, our daughter Ashli Rose will take over and become our winemaker.
